Tzitzimime, also known as star deities, were worshipped by midwives and mothers and associated with the feminine and fertility. It is said when this age ends and world is destroyed to make way for a new one, the Tzitzimime will devour the sun. They are most powerful during solar eclipses and every night battle the setting sun to appear as stars.
